AutoTest Privacy Policy

Summary
AutoTest does not collect any personal data. The app runs entirely on your phone, works offline, and never sends information to any server. The only exceptions are things you start yourself: the email you choose to write us from “Send feedback”, sharing the app with someone, and Google Play’s rating prompt. All three are explained below.
What data is stored, and where
AutoTest stores your study progress on your own device: which questions you answered, which ones you got right, your streak, the exam date you may have set, and the reminder preferences you have chosen. AutoTest never sends that information anywhere. The only copy that can exist outside your phone is your own Android system backup, if you have it enabled: it is encrypted to your Google account, AutoTest cannot read it, and it exists so you do not lose your progress when switching phones. If you uninstall the app, your progress is deleted from the phone with it; the backup copy, if any, remains in your Google account and is governed by your backup settings there.
If you enter your name in the profile, the same applies: it is stored only on your device, and only used to greet you.
Send feedback
The first of those is the Send feedback button in Profile, and only if you use it: AutoTest composes a message and opens your phone’s email app with that draft already written. Nothing leaves your phone until you send it from there, and you can edit or delete it first. If you do send it, we receive what you wrote, the email address you write from and the app version, and we use it only to reply to you and fix what you tell us about. If you would rather we did not see your email address, simply do not use that button: the app works just the same.
Sharing and rating
From Profile you can share AutoTest: the app writes a message with the store link and opens your phone’s share sheet. That message carries nothing of yours —it is the same text for everyone— and you choose where it goes. AutoTest does not learn which app you picked or who you wrote to.
After a good result you may see the prompt to rate the app. That dialog is Google Play’s, not ours: the rating and any comment you write go to Google and are governed by its privacy policy, and AutoTest does not receive your name or know who rated it. You can dismiss it without rating and the app works just the same.
What data is NOT collected
- No accounts or sign-up.
- No email, phone number or location requested to use the app.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising.
- No information is shared with third parties, because there is no information to share.
Permissions
AutoTest uses three system permissions, all of them for practice reminders. None of them grants access to your data or to the internet:
- Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show you the reminder to practise. Android asks you, and you can say no; if you do, the app works just the same, without reminders. You can turn them off whenever you want from Profile or from your phone’s settings. - Device restart (
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): turning the phone off loses the scheduled reminders; this permission lets AutoTest schedule them again when you turn the phone back on. It reads nothing. - Vibration (
VIBRATE): so the reminder vibrates, like any other notification.
Reminders are built on your phone, from the progress stored there, and are scheduled on Android’s own clock. Nothing is sent to any server: there is no server.
AutoTest does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, files or calendar, and it has no internet access permission.
Children
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever adds advertising or purchases, this policy will be updated before that change reaches the store, and the Google Play data safety form will be updated in the same submission.
